This 29 year old Guyana player, Devendra Bishoo is West Indies leg-spinner who took his career best 6 for 80 on the day two of the first test match against Australia. Legendary Shane Warne had casted his magical leg-break when he was only 11 tests old. Bishoo is said to have grown up admiring Shane Warne and was delighted to pick up his career best wickets. Less than three months ago, he had collected 10 wickets for the match in a first-class outing for Guyana against Windward Islands on this same Windsor Park.

Leg break is a ball which deviates from the leg side towards the off side after pitching. A delivery of right-handed leg spin bowler. Bishoo made his test debut in the year 2011 and has already achieved fame as ICC had awarded him with ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ in the same year.  Although Australia’s debutant Adam Voges scored a fine century in this same test match, Devendra Bishoo’s leg-spin bowling is receiving the appraisal. West Indies is put on a trail of 145 runs by the Aussie. West Indies have already lost two wickets at the score of 25 runs.

Bishoo had made his ODI debut during the 2011 Cricket World Cup in a match played against England. If given more opportunity, he can definitely emerge and horn his leg-spin skill. Devendra Bishoo is surely the next favourite among the list of famous leg-spinners!
